Job
Role: To influence, evaluate and monitor all technical aspects of the Project as they relate to areas of responsibility. Main objective is to ensure fulfillment of EPC 1 Scope of Work based on project Functional and Technical requirements as provided in bid packages.
General Responsibilities:
- Ensures overall quality of engineering work, \directs and guides the global engineering effort and ensures the engineering is done in the most efficient manner
- Reviews and approves select project documents.
- Participates in EPC 1 contractor design review meetings.
- Ensures that constructability issues related to Drilling/installation/production operations are considered in detail equipment designs.
- Participates in weekly progress/status meetings with EPC 1 contractor.
- Interfaces with other EPC contractors and EMDC Drilling. Ensures interfaces (external and internal) are identified, fulfilled, and closed. Ensures interaction with other organizations to fulfill their needs as required.
- Interfaces with project QA/QC coordinator and inspectors as required to ensure and maintain a high level of quality.
- Assists Subsea and Umbilical Manager with budget, costs, schedule and EMDC Upstream Management Systems requirements.
- Utilizes available EMDC resources and third party verification parties as required.
- Participates in project HAZOPs, HAZIDs and Risk Assessments as required.
- Participates in Systems Integration Testing program to ensure equipment functions as intended.
- Provides technical oversight to Installation contractors as it relates to offshore installation operations and testing procedures.
Requirements
- Overall fundamental understanding of subsea production systems and systems level engineering.
- Good project management and project execution skills in handling multiple contractors, multiple projects and large number of internal/external interfaces.
- Subsea production and drilling experience preferred with basic understanding of reservoir/flow assurance related issues.
- ROV Systems and Tooling experience.
- Offshore experience for supporting subsea drilling and installation operations.
- Subsea project experience preferred (minimum 10 - 15 years)
- Engineering degree preferred.
