KPG Petroleum and Gas Limited is an integrated downstream oil and gas company. A long standing and prominent player in the South East of Nigeria. Our company’s affairs focus mainly on downstream operations; such as Retail Sales of petroleum products. Our primary products include Petrol (PMS), Diesel (AGO) and Kerosene (DPK).

KPG Petroleum and Gas Limited was incorporated on 9th December 1998 by the Chairman Chief Nathaniel Udu. The company commenced operations as a petroleum marketer in January 2001. During the year 2018, the full management and operations was signed and handed to Lavita Group to fully expand the company’s assets base.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Head of Operations & Sales

Location: Ikoyi, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities 
Leadership Functions:

  • Provide guidance, direction, and support to the sales team, including setting clear goals and targets, motivating the team, and ensuring they have the necessary resources to succeed.

Sales Strategy Development:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies and plans to achieve revenue targets and maximize sales performance. Ensure managers are under pressure to meet station targets.

Performance Evaluation:

  • Evaluate the performance of individual team members and conduct regular performance reviews, identifying areas for improvement and creating action plans to address them.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and accounts, often getting involved in important negotiations or high-level customer interactions.

Collaboration with Other Stakeholders:

  • Collaborate with the marketing and finance departments to align sales efforts with overall company objectives and strategies.

Trend Analysis:

  • Stay updated on industry trends, customer needs, and competitive ideas.

Truck Logistics:

  • Responsible for the 2 trucks (DAF Truck and Peddler), conducting checklists at any point of travel, ensuring safety, and service days, and constantly updating records of repairs and/or replacement. Maintain a good understanding of routes for efficiency purposes.

Product Logistics:

  • Develop a good relationship with various Depo representatives in Lagos, Suleja, Warri, etc., for seamless sourcing of products. Ensure products are readily available for the three locations (Agbor, Maraba, and Lagos). Ensure product integrity, timely delivery, and signing of necessary compliances (waybill and delivery note). Maintain product thresholds for Maraba (PMS - 30,000, AGO - 5,000), Agbor (PMS - 15,000, AGO - 10,000).

Depo Logistics:

  • Develop a relationship with Depo representatives for express loading, and driver replacements, and follow the changing trend of loading methodologies for different depots.

Supervisory Functions:

  • Responsible for the wholesome supervision of Independent Petroleum Sales Executives (IPSEs), Logistics Assistants, and drivers.

Reports:

  • Submit comprehensive weekly reports on the activities of the marketing team.

Compliance Documents:

  • Ensure that the truck papers, insurance documents, and calibration charts are up to date at all times.

Heading the Emails:

  • Manage emails sent to and received from supply@kpg.

Proposal and Quotation Handling:

  • Send proposals, put them on the tracking sheet, and monitor quotations prepared by the accountant.

Management of Task Forces:

  • Oversee task forces.

Truck Cleanliness and Spare Parts Management:

  • Ensure truck cleanliness and manage records of spare parts and purchases.

Assisting Relationship Managers:

  • Assist relationship managers in attending meetings and closing deals with new clients weekly.

Supervising Clients:

  • Assist relationship managers in supervising their clients, whether through WhatsApp groups, emails, or calls.

Requirements

  • Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in relevant fields with 2 - 5 years work experience.

Salary
N150,000 - N180,000 monthly.
