Job Description

Job Functions / Responsibilities
- Compounding and dispensing medications, following physicians' prescriptions.
- Monitoring customers' drug therapies, providing advice on interventions, and informing customers of potential side effects.
- Instructing customers on the proper administration of prescribed medications.
- Conducting health and wellness screenings, including blood pressure checks, temperature measurements, and blood sugar level monitoring.
- Maintaining accurate customer records for a seamless and organized pharmacy operation.
- Ensuring a safe and hygienic working environment for both staff and customers.
- Efficiently managing pharmacy inventory and conducting regular stocktaking procedures.
- Completing operational requirements of the pharmacy, including verifying order entries, maintaining records of controlled substances, and promptly removing expired or damaged drugs from the inventory.
- Strictly adhering to all applicable legal rules, regulations, and procedures governing pharmaceutical practice.
Requirements / Qualifications
To be considered for the position of Pharmacist, candidates should meet the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in a community pharmacy setting.
- Proven experience as a community pharmacist, demonstrating a strong commitment to patient care.
- A comprehensive understanding and knowledge of dosage requirements and administration, chemical compounds, and pharmaceutical brands.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and software applications commonly employed in pharmacies.
- Excellent organizational skills to maintain an efficient and organized pharmacy environment.
- Strong operations and supervisory skills to lead and guide the pharmacy team effectively.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for clear and professional interactions with customers and colleagues.
