Job Title: Estate Surveyor

Location: Abuja (FCT)

Job Overview

  • We are looking to hire an Estate Surveyor to deliver high-quality, efficient and effective property management services, which include lease and lettings, valuations and reviews and general estate management issues.
  • The incumbent is responsible for creating value, maximizing growth and improving the business performance of the firm and its clients while ensuring a pleasant experience for all clients.

Job Responsibilities

  • Managing the daily marketing activities for properties managed by our firm, including both rentals and sales.
  • Expand business opportunities within your designated area.
  • Actively seek new property management opportunities for both leasing, letting and sales.
  • Conduct regular market surveys and analyze asset data systematically.
  • Negotiate terms and charges with prospective clients, vendors, and contractors in accordance with firm policies.
  • Ensure effective management of all properties in the firm's portfolio in accordance with the Firm's Management Plan.
  • Monitor rent and lease renewals, provide guidance on assignments, and handle other requests for landlord's consent.
  • Aid in maintaining an updated property management database.
  • Conduct physical inspections of managed properties for various purposes as needed.
  • Conduct feasibility and viability studies and valuation of property/assets for various purposes.
  • Handling enquiries about properties from clients.
  • Safeguard the company's value by maintaining confidentiality of information.
  • Prepare weekly reports for the Head of Practices as required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of an HND / B.Sc. in Estate Management.
  • 2 - 4 years minimum experience in a similar position in a reputable organization.

Skills & Competencies:

  • The candidate should be confident and a self-starter who can operate in a dynamic environment.
  • Innovative and Passionate about job and knowledge updates by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and maintaining personal networks.
  • Excellent communication skills and networking ability with agents and stakeholders.
  • Understanding of and interest in the local Real Estate market and the process of buying and selling properties.
  • Property Management
  • Skilled in using computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Technical knowledge of the specific area of assignment and overall company activities.
  • Discrete, with an Independent sense of judgment
  • Negotiation and selling skills.
  • Good understanding of social media and web analytics.
