Job Title: Factory Cost Controller / Production Cost Accountant

Location: Lagos Mainland, Lagos

Role Description

• We are looking for a Factory Cost Controller/Production Cost Accountant for a full-time, on-site role located in Lagos mainland.
• As the Factory Cost Controller/Production Cost Accountant, you will be responsible for providing financial leadership and counsel to the Manufacturing team, overseeing cost management and efficient financial operations.
• Responsibilities include accounting for Manufacturing overheads, evaluating investments, and managing product costing and inventory control.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing financial leadership and Counsel on Cost Management to the Manufacturing team and Plant Manager.
• Directing and Controlling all Site financial activities related to Global Manufacturing & Supply (GMS) Finance and Accounting in order to achieve optimal efficiency and effectiveness.
• Proper accounting of Manufacturing overheads (MOH)
• Evaluate investment proposals, New Product Introduction and other key financial decision for the business.
• Partner with the Commercial team to meet business goals and mediate to resolve all GMS finance related queries.
• Responsible for Standard Cost price calculations, product costing BOM review and analysis, Price Variance analysis (Materials and Imported products), Inventory Controls/Management, Landed Cost determination and Gross Margin analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Economics, or any relevant field
• At least 3 years of experience as a Factory Cost Controller/ Production Cost Accountant in a food and beverage manufacturing or similar industry
• Excellent skills in accounting, data analysis, and cost control
• Adequate knowledge of financial reporting standards and guidelines
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work well under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in MS Excel, financial software, and ERPs
• Knowledge of production processes and costs is an added advantage
• Certifications such as ACCA, ICAN, CIMA, or CPA are a plus.

Salary
N3,000,000 - N3,600,000 Gross Annually.
