Job Title: Bookkeeper

Location: Abuja

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Outsourced Bookkeeper to manage and maintain the financial records and accounts for our clients.
  • The ideal candidate should have at least 7 years of relevant experience and be a Chartered Accountant.
  • The Bookkeeper will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data, preparing financial reports, and supporting our clients in managing their finances effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  • Prepare and process client invoices, payments, and receipts.
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Prepare and file tax returns and assist with tax planning for clients.
  • Provide financial advice and guidance to clients to support their financial decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.
  • Work closely with clients and our HR consulting team to understand their financial needs and provide tailored financial solutions.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting for clients.
  • Keep abreast of accounting best practices and regulatory changes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Chartered Accountant (ICAN) certification is required.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting and bookkeeping.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial standards.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Client-focused with a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
  • Strong ethics and integrity in handling sensitive financial information.
