We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Pharmacy Technician
Location: Asaba, Delta
Employment Type: Full-time
Summary of Roles and Responsibilities
- Preparing new prescriptionand refill requests for patients
- Dispensing medication to patients per the Doctor’s prescription
- Processing insurance claims
- Tracking inventory
- Assist in stock counting on a routine basis and ensure that expiring drugs are noted.
- Ensure that minimum stock levels are not exceeded.
- Keep the pharmacy clean and ensure that dispensing materials are available.
- Assist in receiving medications from vendors.
- Assist in compounding in coordination with the pharmacist.
- Provide consumables to the nurses and doctors when needed.
- Preparing pharmacy packs under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Assist the pharmacist in any other required duties.
- Conduct group responsibilities accurately and on time.
- Maintain and update pharmacy checklists regularly.
- Provide assistance in various functions of the pharmacy.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Candidates must have a Diploma.
- The candidate must possess a certification as an Associate of the Pharmaceutical Council of Nigeria
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in a similar role
- Good hand-eye coordination.
- Good eyesight and clear vision
- Attention to detail
- Ability to keep information confidential.
- Ability to work calmly under pressure.
- Sound knowledge of pharmacy procedures.
