We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Cost Estimator

Location: 2/4 Samuel Anibaba Street, Ikosi Ketu, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • Analyzes all quotes for products and develops costing on all components contained within the product
  • Verifies accuracy and finalizes quotes for products
  • Develop variable (piece) cost estimates for assigned products which requires an extensive understanding of manufacturing cost structure and supply base capability
  • Support continuous improvement and identification of material cost-reduction opportunities
  • Support the team of four (Purchasing, Cost Estimating, Finance, and Technical) for assigned products
  • Maintain an organized documentation of cost history establishing cost breakdowns
  • Identifying factors affecting costs, such as production time, materials, and labor
  • Read CAD and technical documents in order to prepare cost estimates
  • Calculating, analyzing, and adjusting estimates
  • Working with sales teams to prepare estimates and bids for clients
  • Maintaining records of estimated and actual costs.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Quantity Surveying
  • Minimum of 5 years of Cost Estimating/Quoting Experience in a furniture manufacturing company
  • Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to Interpret an extensive variety of information in technical, mathematical, diagrammatic, and database application forms.
  • Ability to compute P & L, calculate markup, and determine selling price.
  • Advanced PC skills, expanded abilities in the use of spreadsheet & database applications preferred, specifically, Microsoft Excel.
  • Detail-oriented self-starter, able to work in a very fast-paced & dynamic environment.
  • Work independently
  • Ability to multitask.
