Team Purpose

  • The Clinical services Unit (CSU) is the main services delivery unit of the organization and responsible for the delivery of both quantitative and qualitative key program performance targets. 
  • The unit Contributes to health system strengthening through provision of systematic and purposeful knowledge and skill transfer to supported facility’s health workers through a structured and effective engagement. Relevant skills and knowledge are aligned with the organizational and grant’s goal of building people and sustainable systems through learning.
  • This unit   prepare all intended beneficiaries through the adapting of the organizational learning culture with a view to developing self-confidence, creative, system thinking, communications and feedback skills in program implementation. 
  • In collaboration with prevention and priority population unit, the CSU reviews and analyzes sites performance, identify implementation bottle necks and provide structured approaches to improve performance as well as recommends possible solutions to mitigate services disruptions.

Job Summary

  • The incumbent will serve as the transition’s TB /HIV POC and supervise the TB cascade management across supported states, Support the Initiation and enhancement of TB/HIV integration services.
  • Develop and refine materials related to TB-HIV integration such as clinical guidelines, protocols, algorithms, drug formularies and training materials. 
  • Develop, maintain and enhance TB-HIV integration links between organization and Government of Nigeria officials, donors and partner organizations.
  • Develop and evaluate TB screening and diagnostic tools for sub population such as children and pregnant women and Work with state/facility teams to establish the minimum package of Infection Prevention and Control.
  • Provide technical support to supported facilities in establishing protocols for TB/HIV treatment and related services that are consistent with national guidelines.
  • As a member of the CoCT , will assist in the continuum of treatment and care tracking and reporting (clinical cascade management) pipeline data from testing to viral suppression.
  • Design a data flow and quality of care in standalone DOTS/OSS and community TB contact tracing using CBO. Establish a strong collaboration with the NTBLCP

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Ability

  • Bachelor's Degree in Medicine, Public Health or a related field; or a master’s or equivalent in public health or related fields will be an added advantage
  • At least 5 years’ post NYSC experience in developing country health care programs or program support function
  • Knowledge of the policies, regulations, reporting formats, and cultures of principal donors, including USAID, EC, DFID, CDC/PEPFAR, and others
  • Extensive clinical experience in care and treatment of HIV/AIDS patients
  • Demonstrated experience in non-profit sector in a program management role
  • Strong supervisory and management skills;
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to foresee problems and initiate appropriate action.
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent team player with good inter personal skills
  • Ability to speak clearly, concisely and effectively; listen to, and understand, information and ideas as presented verbally
  • Ability to demonstrate independent judgment, knowledge of regulatory agency standards.
