Team Purpose

  • The Clinical services Unit (CSU) is the main services delivery unit of the organization and responsible for the delivery of both quantitative and qualitative key program performance targets. 
  • The unit Contributes to health system strengthening through provision of systematic and purposeful knowledge and skill transfer to supported facility’s health workers through a structured and effective engagement.
  • Relevant skills and knowledge are aligned with the organizational and grant’s goal of building people and sustainable systems through learning.
  • This unit  prepare all intended beneficiaries through the adapting of the organizational learning culture with a view to developing self-confidence, creative, system thinking, communications and feedback skills in program implementation. 
  • In collaboration with prevention and priority population unit, the CSU reviews and analyzes sites performance, identify implementation bottle necks and provide structured approaches to improve performance as well as recommends possible solutions to mitigate services disruptions.

Resposibilities

  • The holder of this position will provide overall guidance to the KP care and treatment implementation team on HIV/AIDS care and treatment programs at the state level.
  • S/he will be part of the state’s management team in a decentralized management structure and forms part of the strategic team that directs the operations of the state. 
  • The incumbent will lead program planning, review, and the monitoring of the program implemented of the KP program including providing technical support to the KP CBO.  
  • The incumbent will report directly to the State Program Director through the State Technical Lead.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Bachelor's Degree in Medicine; a Master’s or equivalent in public health or related fields will be an added advantage
  • At least 5 years’ post NYSC experience in developing country health care programs or program support function
  • Knowledge of the policies, regulations, reporting formats, and cultures of principal donors, including USAID, EC, DFID, CDC/PEPFAR, and others
  • Extensive clinical experience in care and treatment of HIV/AIDS patients
  • Demonstrated experience in non-profit sector in a program management role
  • Strong supervisory and management skills;
  • Ability to work independently with strong problem-solving skills and ability to foresee problems and initiate appropriate action.
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent team player with good inter personal skills.
