About the Job

• Mintyn Digital Bank is seeking a skilled Backend Engineer with a Senior level of experience in developing high-performing, scalable, and enterprise-grade applications.
• As part of a talented software team responsible for mission-critical applications, you will be required to manage Java/Java EE application development, providing expertise in the full software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Designing, developing, and delivering high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems.
• Integration of data storage solutions and contributing to all phases of the development lifecycle will also be required.
• Additionally, the role involves ensuring designs comply with specifications, preparing and producing releases of software components, and supporting continuous improvement by exploring alternative technologies for architectural review.

Requirements

• A Degree / Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject
• Proven hands-on Software Development experience, and test-driven development skills are also required.
• The ideal candidate MUST possess at least 4 years of experience in building high-performing, scalable, enterprise-grade applications with the Spring framework.
• Should also have expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and experience with tools for build and deployment automation such as Maven, Jenkins, Ansible, and application monitoring tools like ELK stack. Knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL, NoSQL, and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate), and experience building Microservices applications and using spring cloud components is required.
• Possess good team-player qualities, with the ability to work efficiently with little to no supervision.
• Experience working in a fintech firm will be a serious added advantage.
• The role is a hybrid role, so candidates must be lagos residents.
