Details

• Candidates for the post must demonstrate evidence of leadership capabilities and competences, emotional intelligence, coaching and mentoring, creativity and innovativeness, team building to attain performance target, obedient, loyalty and dedication to service.
• Post of a Librarian is tenured - Single tenure of five years.

Duties

• The successful Candidate would be expected to facilitates, access to information and resources within the Library. Develop educational programmes, manage databases and supervise Library staff, support learning, research and exploration for Library members.
• Deal with enquires, help Library users in accessing ICT and other resources, undertake reader development activities, update Library databases, evaluate and raise requisition for Library inventory needs and other jobs that may be assigned to the Librarian from time to time by the College authorities.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess a minimum of M.L.S from a recognized Institution of Learning
• Must be a Chartered Librarian and has full Membership of Professional Association of Librarians.
• The Candidate must in addition have 15 years Cognate Experience and shall not be below the Rank of Chief Librarian.
• Evidence of Mastery of ICT and relevant of Educational Publications.
• PhD in Library and Information Science will be an added advantage.
