About the job
- We are seeking an experienced and motivated Ratings Research Manager to lead our Ratings team.
- This role involves managing a team of statisticians and data analysts, overseeing research projects, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality ratings and insights.
Responsibilities
Team Leadership:
- Manage and lead a team of statisticians and data analysts, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment, encouraging continuous learning and development.
Research Strategy:
- Develop and implement research strategies to enhance the accuracy and relevance of ratings.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and emerging methodologies in research.
Project Management:
- Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of research projects.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope, meeting high-quality standards.
Data Analysis and Interpretation:
- Direct the statistical analysis of data, ensuring robust methodologies and accurate interpretation of results.
- Collaborate with the team to develop innovative approaches to analyze and present metrics.
Quality Assurance:
- Implement rigorous quality assurance processes to validate data and ratings.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technology, product development, and client services, to integrate data into various products and services.
- Work closely with external partners and data providers to enhance data coverage and accuracy.
Reporting and Communication:
- Prepare and present comprehensive reports on ratings to internal and external stakeholders.
- Communicate research findings effectively, translating complex statistical concepts into actionable insights.
Continuous Improvement:
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Ratings team.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and innovation
Qualifications
- Master's or PhD in Statistics, Data Science, Finance, Economics, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience (5 years) in managing research teams, preferably in ESG, finance or related fields.
- Strong background in statistical analysis and data interpretation.
- Familiarity with ESG frameworks, standards, and reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., R, Python) and data visualization tools.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
