Job Title: Group Head of Sales

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • Developing vision, an important market on the level of a product line with a long term perspective and Develop new business leads, signing new corporate and business group (SMERF) contracts.
  • Sourcing and Analyzing data from internal systems and external sources to identify opportunities to improve sales performance
  • Identifying and contacting potential clients to determine their needs and assess their interest in the company’s products or services
  • Managing an existing sales team, providing ongoing coaching and feedback to help them increase their performance
  • Setting sales goals and monitoring progress
  • Coordinating training programs for team members
  • Ensuring that sales representatives meet quotas and goals
  • Determining sales potential of products and services
  • Directing and overseeing an organization's sales policies, objectives and initiatives
  • Recommending product or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential
  • Building key customer relationships for sustainable business growth

Job Requirements and Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or Administration, Marketing, Communications, or related field is preferred
  • Minimum of Five years experience in managing sales in a corporate setting
  • Proven record of success with the entire sales process, from planning to closing
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Excellent leadership abilities
  • Ability to travel.
  • Certified Sales Professional (CSP) accreditation is advantageous
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications as well as Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software
  • Strong negotiation and consultative sales skills
  • Analytical skills
  • Customer-service skills
