Job Overview

  • The Finance Manager will play a key role in managing financial activities, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization.
  • This position requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of accounting principles, local regulatory requirements, and experience in the cybersecurity industry.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Generate regular financial reports for management, providing insights into the company's financial performance.
  • Collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Ensure compliance with Nigerian tax regulations, including VAT, corporate income tax, and other applicable taxes.
  • Prepare and submit accurate and timely tax returns.
  • Monitor and control costs associated with service delivery projects.
  • Work closely with project managers to analyze project costs and profitability.
  • Manage the invoicing process, ensuring accurate and timely billing to clients.
  • Verify invoice accuracy and resolve discrepancies with clients.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure the organization's liquidity.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Prepare documentation and support external audits.
  • Collaborate with auditors to address audit queries and findings.
  • Oversee payroll processes, ensuring accurate and timely payment to employees.
  • Manage payroll tax compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certification such as ICAN, ACCA, or similar.
  • Proven experience as an accountant in the cybersecurity or technology industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of Nigerian accounting principles and tax regulations.

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Effective communication skills to liaise with internal teams, clients, and regulatory authorities.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity service delivery models and project accounting.
