Head of Product Selection at Transsion Holdings

Transsion Holdings, the company formerly known as Tecno Telecom Limited, established in July 2006, is a high-tech company specializing in the R&D, production, sale and service of mobile communication products. After years of development, Transsion has become an important part of the mobile phone industry and one of the major mobile phone manufacturers in the world. Currently, it has full ownership of three famous mobile phone brands Tecno, itel and Infinix, and an after-sales service brand Carlcare.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Head of Product Selection

Location: Lagos 

Responsibilities

• Responsible for product selection, ensuring that products meet market demands and company strategies.
• Analyze market trends to uncover new product opportunities.
• Establish and maintain good relationships with suppliers, conduct effective price negotiation.
• Supervise the product life cycle, determine when to introduce new products and phase out old ones.
• Work closely with sales and marketing teams to understand product performance and propose improvements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
• Proven experience in product management or similar role in a related industry.
• Strong understanding of product life cycle management and market trend analysis.
• Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills with a proven track record of successful dealings with suppliers.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with sales and marketing teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with a strategic and analytical mindset.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary focus on strategic product goals.

Qualification Required:

• Over 5 years of experience in product selection or related fields.
• Strong market analysis and project management capabilities.
• Excellent negotiation and supply chain management skills.
• Innovative thinking, capable of finding new product opportunities.
• Familiarity with the Nigerian market, those with relevant work experience are preferred.
