Job Description
- This role requires the preparation and interpretation of management accounts, cashflow forecast and various financial reports for the organization.
- The job will support the Finance Manager in producing monthly accounts and other adhoc reports.
- This position will also assist in developing treasury management process and reporting for the company.
Basic Duties
- Bookkeeping and account record
- Banking and bank reconciliation
- Verification of payment vouchers and claims
- Invoice matching for goods received
- Preparation and timely submission of monthly statements and payment vouchers to ICRISAT Niamey
- Provide assistance for workshops/events and orientate clients on need basis
- Help to prepare accounting documents, data for audit exercise
- Interacts with NARS & NGO Partner for advances justifications
- Handle any other tasks and assignments warranted by the position or by the CR
- Banking, verification and preparation of vouchers to be paid in Naira/USD
- Verification and approval of petty cash disbursements
- Staff and supplier advances liquidation
- Cash receipt and disbursement
- Manage physical inventory of fixed assets and capital items
Requirements
- Degree qualified (B.SC/HND) in Accounting, business Administration or related fields with professional certification i.e ACCA or ICAN.
- Through understanding of financial concepts
- Working knowledge of French will be an asset
- Ability to communicate in Hausa is added advantage
- Women candidates are encouraged to apply
- At least three years working experience as an account department or financial institution
- Experience working in an International organization or multicultural organization is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of business inter-relationship of all departments in a multinational environment is a prerequisite for this position.
- Experience in world class Financial Services Company will also be a good add-on.
