Job Description
Cost Accounting:

  • Assist with the costing process and ensure that standard costs for current and new products reflect the true picture and that any changes are pro-actively reconciled and communicated.
  • Identify cost reduction opportunities, control factory overheads and ensure cost efficiencies are maintained
  • Assist with coordination of timely closing of production orders and calculation of Costs of Good Sold including allocation of production overheads

Management Accounting:

  • Periodic tracking of business performance against target with explanations for the variances between actual and target.
  • Control and analyze cost center expenses, obtain explanation for deviations from budget holders
  • Generate timely and accurate reports for management, auditors and other stakeholders

Financial Analysis & Budgeting:

  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, issues and opportunities for the management to make informed decisions
  • Develop budgets, and budgetary control measures towards achieving planned profits

Audit & Control:

  • Periodic physical count of inventories and reconciliation of system balances
  • Analyze material usage variance report, co-ordinate annual budget formulation, monitoring, and Implementation

Month End Closing:

  • Assist with month end closing activities including production declaration, industrial activities, and factory overheads
  • Coordinate the periodic reconciliation of inventories of raw and packaging materials, spares, and diesel consumption

Site Finance:

  • Actively monitor site transactions in the system for accomplishments of month end and year-end reporting deadlines.
  • Assist with financial aspects of site projects to ensure the project’s objectives are achieved

Requirements

  • Ability to work independently
  • Good Project Management Skills 
  • Hausa Language speaker is an added advantage
  • FMCG experience is a plus
