Job Title: Plant Manager

Location: Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time

Description 

  • We are seeking a Plant Manager to oversee the daily operations and activities on the production floor to ensure the optimization of resources and ensure all instituted production policies and procedures are followed.
  • This person not only drives production operations, but is critical to the development and maintenance of all resources to achieve company’s goals.
  • Overall, the plant manager is responsible for ensuring that the manufacturing or production facility is operating efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulations, while also meeting production goals and delivering high-quality products.

Duties / Responsibilities

  • Responsible for production output, and product quality.
  • Plan, organized, directed and run optimum day-to-day production schedules and workflows to ensure maximum efficiency, and productivity and exceed the company’s established production expectation.
  • Oversee the efficiency of all assets in the factory (machine and human), to ensure the factory consistently runs efficiently, quickly, safely, and smoothly.
  • Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining quality standards
  • Allocate both human and material resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results.
  • Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus.
  • Monitor production operations and implement corrective action.
  • Develop and maintain a culture of trust, efficiency, diligence, shared purpose with the production workforce.
  • Collect and analyze data to find places of waste or overtime.
  • Develop and commit to factory safety procedures and ensure compliance across board.
  • Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets.
  • Address employees’ issues or grievances and administer collective bargaining agreements.
  • Stay up to date with latest production management best practices and concepts.
  • Design and implement production and factory processes.
  • Other duties as reasonably assigned

Qualifications

  • University Degree preferably in Business Management, or Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 7 years experience working in a plant/factory of similar operations.
  • A Minimum of 6 years experience as a plant/factory manager.
  • Certifications in Business Management
