Job Title: Product Manager (Financial Technology Firm)

Location: Lagos

Job Description

• We are seeking to hire a resourceful Product Manager who will be responsible for driving product initiatives from inception through to execution.
• The role will work closely with Product designers, Software engineers, Product analysts, and other cross-functional team members within the organization to ensure that the Company’s products amaze and delight its users.

What you will do

• Own delivery of product initiatives and releases
• Develop, prepare, and support of product roadmap
• Develop customer empathy in multiple markets to inform your road map, balancing current and future needs
• Write user narratives to imagine the experience a customer may have
• Define, document, and communicate objectives, requirements, and constraints for product initiatives and releases
• Collaborate with the technical team and designers to edit the service and product
• Communicate development status and document progress toward milestones
• Prioritize and sequence product initiatives against a mandate
• Perform market research and analysis
• Represent the team with cross-functional partners and senior company leaders to align resources and prioritization
• Assist in the completion of business, functional, and technical documentation
• Conduct user acceptance testing
• Work with the compliance team to ensure all products are meeting standards
• Work with different teams to leverage the voice of the customer feedback for development requirements
• Works with Business manager leaders to establish key performance indicators to track product value.
• Works with operations to define and track Operational Metrics
• Support the company’s commitment to protecting the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data.
• Assist and drive future platform development and planning.

Requirements

• First Degree in any related field.
• 3-5 years of product management experience or equivalent
• A track record of shipping and iterating on successful products with cross-functional teams
• Prior experience as an engineer or in the e-commerce/retail or payments industry is a plus.
• Great interpersonal and communication skills that shine when you’re talking with a customer or engaging a cross-functional audience
• Demonstrated leadership, and the ability to drive product strategy and work well with engineers and designers.
• An analytical and metrics-driven work style that leverages data to make informed decisions
