Amadeus University is a private University located in Amizi, Ikwuano LGA, Abia State. Recently approved by the Federal Government of Nigeria and licenced by the National Universities Commission (NUC), the University is a unique brand in Nigerian tertiary education, devoted to innovation, excellence, and high ethical standards, providing dynamic education and research tailored to the demands of the 21st century. Academic activities will take off in the University from the 2024/2025 academic session.

Job Title: Vice Chancellor

Job Description

• The Vice Chancellor is both the academic and administrative head of the university, as well as the institution's primary liaison with its stakeholders and the public.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must:

• Be a Professor of not less than ten (10) years standing as at date
• Be a mainstream academic, vastly published in reputable local and international journals;
• Possess appropriate cognate experience in University administration, at a level that serves as adequate preparation for the position of Vice Chancellor;
• Be a person of proven integrity and courage as well as an excellent manager of resources;
• Have a high level of proficiency in ICT skills and digital literacy.

Vision for The University:

• Applicants for the post of Vice Chancellor should enclose a statement of his/ her vision for the University during his/her tenure, if appointed.

Salary and Conditions of Service

• The salary and Conditions of Service is attractive and comparable with top Nigerian private universities.
• Tenure: Candidates shall hold office for a single term of five years only, on such terms and conditions, specified ab initio, in their Letters of Appointment and any others approved, from time to time, by the Governing Council. In all cases, appropriate cognate experience (i.e. previous/current service in the substantive position) will be an advantage.
