Job Summary
  • Oracle's Global License Management Services (LMS) is focused on promoting the management, governance, and awareness of the proper use and distribution of Oracle solutions.
  • The LMS Director will manage independent internal audit operations for their region within existing policies, procedures and practices to deliver an effective system of internal management control. Resulting in the collection of compliance revenue and ensuring customer and partner satisfaction.
  • The LMS Director builds, executes and communicates the strategy for the specific area of responsibility, aligned to organization strategy providing direction to direct reports. And helps develop and drive the strategy of Oracle LMS while ensuring productivity, revenue and value contribution to Oracle's business through their team, of experienced, knowledgeable and experienced staff.
Detailed Description and Job Requirements
  • Directs people in, and develops the strategy for, the delivery of license management services and programs to customers and partners in managing their compliance with Oracle's contractual agreements, while ensuring productivity, revenue and value contribution to Oracle*s business. Implements, directs, and monitors auditing policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Builds, executes and communicates the vision and strategy for the specific area of responsibility, aligned to organization strategy.
  • Creates short, medium and long-term business plans, objectives and KPI's, to ensure Oracle's intellectual property is protected in the market through delivery of license management services and programs including license reviews, enterprise agreement management and license management advisories.
  • Drives license management results through leadership and talent management, including organization design, resource planning, recruitment, development and performance management.
  • Drives execution of team charter through efficient processes, quality and productivity, enabling collection of compliance revenue and ensuring customer and partner satisfaction.
  • Takes ownership of often complex issues, acting as the point of escalation for customer and partner situations, ensuring resolution of compliance issues.
  • Identifies and/or drives innovation and change improvement initiatives aimed at increasing quality and productivity of auditing practices and standards.
  • Communicates results of license management activities to management and relevant stakeholders.
  • Promotes collaboration by building strategic partnerships with peer organizations at senior management levels, establishing support for the LMS organization, and driving adoption, improvement and optimization of LMS Services and Programs.
  • Represents on behalf of the LMS organization to drive awareness of license management best practices and compliance topics in the market.
  • Assists in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Regularly interacts across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met.
  • Ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations is important. Demonstrated leaderships skills.
  • University degree or equivalent combination of studies and experience.
  • 5-8 years experience in people management is preferred.
  • IT/asset management consulting, audit or customer management background in the software industry
