Rainoil Limited is an integrated downstream oil and gas company. A prominent player in the Nigerian industry, the company’s operations span across the downstream value chain i.e. Petroleum Product Storage, Haulage/Distribution and Retail Sales. Our primary products include Petrol (PMS), Diesel (AGO) and Kerosene (DPK).

Job Title: Insurance Team Lead

Job Description

• To provide relevant support by coordinating activities of the insurance team.
• This includes providing leadership, ensuring efficient workflow and maintaining a high standard of service.
• You are to ensure the team achieve its goals , delivers exceptional customer service and adhere to industry regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the insurance team, ensuring effective collaboration and coordination.
• Develop and implement insurance strategies tailored to the specific needs of the Oil and Gas industry.
• Oversee the underwriting process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry regulations.
• Manage relationships with insurance carriers, brokers, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Conduct risk assessments and work closely with the risk management team to mitigate potential threats.
• Provide expert guidance on insurance coverage, policy renewals, and claims management.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks affecting the Oil and Gas sector.
• Train and mentor team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
• Prepare and present reports to senior management on insurance performance and recommendations.
• Set performance targets for the team and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure goals are met.

Requirements

• Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of Five (5) years Insurance experience preferably in similar organization.
• Proven experience in insurance operations, preferably within the Oil and Gas industry.
• Strong knowledge of insurance principles, policies, and regulations.
• Leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder management.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to assess risks and make informed decisions.
• Familiarity with Nigerian insurance regulations and industry dynamics.
• Relevant professional certifications in insurance and risk management.
• Proficient in using insurance-related software and tools.
• High level of integrity and commitment to ethical business practices.

Desirable:

• Any relevant professional certification is an advantage.
