Job Title: Project Manager - Water Projects

Location: Lagos

Position Overview

  • We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team and lead initiatives that contribute to the sustainable development and management of water projects.
  • As a Project Manager specializing in water projects, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the planning, execution, and successful completion of water-related initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring proven expertise in managing complex water projects and a track record of delivering results within budget and timeline constraints.

Responsibilities
Project Planning and Execution:

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements.
  • Execute projects according to the project plan, ensuring adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and motivate cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and effective communication.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure project milestones are achieved.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities.
  • Effectively communicate project progress and address stakeholder concerns in a timely and professional manner.

Risk Management:

  • Identify and assess project risks, developing mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Proactively manage unforeseen challenges and changes to project scope.

Budget and Resource Management:

  • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring optimal utilization of resources.
  • Monitor project expenses and implement cost-saving measures where possible.

Qualifications
Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager with a focus on water projects, with a minimum of [X] years of successful project management.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of water management principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with relevant software and tools for project management.

Communication Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to convey complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Certifications:

  • PMP certification or equivalent is a plus.
