Responsibilities
- As the Production Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective production of our food products while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food manufacturing, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of optimizing production processes.
Key Responsibilities
Production Planning and Scheduling:
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand while optimizing resources.
- Collaborate with the planning team to forecast production requirements and ensure timely delivery.
Quality Control:
- Establish and enforce strict quality control measures throughout the production process.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate production teams to achieve operational excellence.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Process Optimization:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement efficiency-enhancing measures.
- Work closely with the engineering team to maintain and upgrade production equipment.
Inventory Management:
- Oversee inventory levels to prevent stockouts and minimize waste.
- Implement effective inventory control measures to optimize stock turnover.
Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and industry standards.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to create a secure working environment.
Cost Management:
- Monitor and control production costs to achieve budgetary targets.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, quality assurance, and logistics, to ensure seamless production processes.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams for equipment upkeep and repairs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 3 - 5 years of experience in the Food retail and manufacturing industry
- Proven experience in a production management role within the food manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and quality control standards.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Salary
- N300,000 - N350,000 monthly.
