• The Head of Science will play a pivotal role in the academic leadership of our school, ensuring the effective delivery of the science curriculum and promoting excellence in science education.
• They will be responsible for overseeing the science department, managing resources, and driving innovation in teaching and learning.
• The ideal candidate should have a strong background in science education, leadership skills, and a passion for inspiring students.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and inspire the science department faculty.
• Develop and implement the science curriculum in line with educational standards.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of science teachers, providing support and feedback.
• Foster a culture of excellence in science education, promoting creativity and critical thinking.
• Manage departmental budgets and resources effectively.
• Collaborate with other department heads and school leadership to enhance the overall educational experience.
• Organize and oversee science-related extracurricular activities.
• Stay updated on advancements in science education and incorporate best practices.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Master's or Doctoral Degree in a Science related course, preferably Biology.
• 8+ years relevant work experience.
• Substantial experience in educational department leadership, with a proven track record of successful curriculum development and implementation.
• Strong understanding of British educational standards and frameworks.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team of educators.
• A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
