Job Title: Music Teacher
Location: Surulere, Lagos
Employment Type: Part-time
Job Overview
- The music teacher will be responsible for teaching students to play instruments, maintain tempo and rhythm, and train them in various music styles.
- Additionally, the teacher will prepare students for performances, assess their potential, and coordinate with staff members for events.
Responsibilities
- Teaching musical instruments like piano, guitar, and violin
- Helping students understand and read music notes and scales
- Training students for events, private musical performances, and concerts
- Gathering required teaching materials
- Assessing students' performance and giving private lessons
- Coaching students on voice modulation and tempo when required.
- Explaining different styles and genres of music
- Conducting music theory and practical examinations
- Coordinating with staff members in organizing extracurricular activities
- Maintaining and encouraging a fun and positive atmosphere in the music class.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Music
- Valid music teaching certificate or license
- Proven work experience as a Music Teacher
- Excellent knowledge about different music genres and instruments
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Passion for music and high patience levels
- Ability to assess students' potential and skills
- Ability to lead a choir, orchestra, or a concert
- Understanding of state educational policies
- Strong instrumental skills
- Ability to maintain a positive and fun classroom environments.
Salary
N45,000 - N50,000 / month.
