Finance Manager at Polo - Cico Farms and Estates Limited

Polo - Cico Farms and Estates Limited is a farm complex into greenhouse farming for the production of a variety of pepper, catfish, eggs and processed chicken for both local and international markets.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Finance Manager

Location: Omoku, Rivers

Description 

• Create new accounting/operations procedures to prepare and manage rapidly growing entities and evolving business structure.
• Gather and analyze financial information generated from all company operations to provide accurate reports to the managing director.
• Liaises with the Finance Officers to ensure the reconciliation of all bank accounts monthly and follow up on any reconciliation item.
• Assists the managing director Officer in budget planning, as well as controlling and forecasting income and expenditure.
• Liaises with managing director to ensure that accurate financial information are readily available timely.
• Reconcile accountant’s payable and receivable
• Assists in providing support during interim and final audits of the account of the company by external Auditors through provision of relevant documents and information.
• Provide advice and support to senior management on financial matters.
• Pay roll administration, statutory deductions and compliance (PAYE, Pension etc)
• Ensures that company’s assets are managed effectively with accurate and complete records duly kept.
• Ensures statutory returns are made and accurately to relevant tax authorities. Coordinates the preparation and reporting of monthly management accounts and performance reviews of the company’s financial activities.
• Ensures strict adherence to Finance standard operating procedure in all the activities of the department.

Requirements

• HND /B.Sc. in Accounting, Finance or related field with relevant certification such as ICAN, ACCA or ACA is mandatory.
• with 7 years of relevant work experience
• Good understanding of and experience with transfer pricing and tax rules
• High level of competence using Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work under pressure, with little supervision
• Excellent verbal and writing and presentation skills
• Sound ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
