We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Officer, Account Finance and Treasury

Location: Maitama, Abuja (FCT)

Job Summary

  • The incumbent will operate within the Account, Finance and Treasury Department, reviewing and reporting on financial instruments, portfolios and financial trends.
  • S/he will also ensure statutory compliance and timely financial reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Develop monthly, quarterly and yearly financial reports for the executive management team.
  • Monitor the financial health of SoundCore, checking income and expenditure over periodic intervals and making recommendations as need be.
  • Support the project teams in their data analysis, budget framework reviews and presentations
  • Use statistical modeling and analysis, to extrapolate future projections and advise on strategies that can be used to achieve these.
  • Develop a yearly budget in conjunction with key stakeholders for general operations and capital projects.
  • Carry out general tasks such as payroll management, data entry into accounting system, monthly bank reconciliations, petty cash book and imprest management, and maintenance of general and other subsidiary ledgers
  • Maintain and manage the fixed asset schedule and register, advising on depreciation timelines, asset retirement and replacement
  • Keep abreast of all statutory regulation, reviewing and maintaining internal accounting controls and procedures accordingly
  • Work with external auditors as required for statutory compliance.

Qualifications

  • B.Sc Accounting, Finance or Economics
  • 4 - 5 years previous experience in a similar role
  • ICAN/ACCA is a requirement
  • Knowledge and use of financial software e.g Peachtree and Sage 50.

  • Key knowledge of financial trends within the business sector.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding ofstatutory financial regulations
  • High degree of professionalism, ethics and integrity
  • Ability to work under pressure.
