We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Lead Rotating Equipment Engineer

Location: Lagos
Job type: Contract / Resident

Job Description

  • Assist Head of section (Head of Mechanical Rotating - Static - Marine Equipment) for the updating of the Maintenance Plans including dedicated procedures, spare parts coverage, tools selection and other technical aspects, in accordance with the Maintenance Policy;
  • Provide assistance for mobilization and coordination of external resources (vendors, contractors, means and equipment) to support the offshore staff in view of ensuring equipment integrity;
  • Provide technical assistance at site, or in contractor workshops for maintenance interventions preparation (including major shutdown or overhaul works), maintenance works follow-up, works supervision, material receipt, or specific investigations, studies, equipment condition monitoring, etc.
  • Perform studies or technical-administrative tasks as required for routine operations or in view of maintenance or equipment optimization.

Context and Environment

  • Follow up and assist in the resolution of rotating equipment issues on site in coordination with Tier-1 & Tier-2.
  • Follow up and Provide support for equipment overhaul on site
  • Develop procedure to ensure work execution in-house with little or no OEM assistance
  • Coordinate and follow up with GG replacement
  • Coordinate and follow up with CBM actions and adversaries to guide against breakdowns
  • Liaise with the C&P team to put in place Contract frame Agreements for critical equipment with their OEM or accredited representative in Nigeria.
  • Initiate and implementation of innovative ideas to improve equipment reliability and optimized performance.

Qualifications / Experience Required

  • Engineer University Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Strong Knowledge in Turbo machineries.
  • Minimum 10 years experience as Mechanical Engineer including 5 in the Petrochemical industry.
  • Minimum 5 years in supervisory operational position.
