Job Title: Pharmacy Technician

Job Summary
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription medications.
- Measure and package medications according to prescription orders.
- Receive and interpret prescription orders from patients or healthcare providers.
- Enter prescription information into the pharmacy computer system accurately.
- Monitor and manage pharmacy inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels.
- Receive, check, and stock incoming pharmaceutical supplies.
- Interact with customers in a professional and friendly manner.
- Answer phone calls, address customer inquiries, and provide information on medications.
- Verify insurance information and process claims for prescription medications.
- Work with insurance providers to resolve any billing issues.
- Prepare compounded medications under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Adhere to established guidelines for compounding procedures.
- Perform routine quality control checks on dispensed medications.
- Report any discrepancies or issues to the supervising pharmacist.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to pharmacy operations.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Work collaboratively with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals.
- Assist in training new pharmacy staff members.
- Operate and maintain pharmacy equipment, such as automated dispensing systems.
- Utilize computer systems for prescription processing and record-keeping.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess relevant qualifications with 5 - 6 years relevant work experience.
