We are recruiting to fill the position below:

The Candidate's Profile

  • We are looking for self-driven and highly motivated individuals / team players with the right mix of good attitude, technical competence and business acumen with experience in oils and gas sector.

About the Role

  • As a Senior Accountant, you will be ultimately responsible for supporting all tactical and operational duties of the accounting function.
  • This includes the preparation of accounting schedules, Invoicing and invoice tracking, Loan/facility Management, management reporting, statutory reporting, internal and external stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of budget, financial statement and other financial report, annual reports etc.
  • Organize annual audit and assist external auditors in carrying out audit exercises.
  • Computation and filling of VAT, PAYE and other tax matters.
  • Participate in month-end closing activities like generating reports, cut off activities on specific workdays (monthly, quarterly, annually)
  • Experience in managing bank relationships.
  • Invoicing and invoice tracking experience – Must have an experience in IOCs invoicing processes (i.e. likes of Total, Mobil, Chevron, Shell, etc.)
  • Loan and Facility Management, following up on loan disbursement with banks, tracking of loan schedule, etc.
  • Generate, maintain & update receivable aging reports and follow up on invoices
  • Carry-out monthly account reconciliation & maintain company’s assets register
  • Be involved in the development and update of Finance SOPs
  • Assist in the development and reporting of key performance metrics to help drive business productivity.
  • Ensure timely preparation and transmission of regulatory filings and other external reports
  • Be involved in the preparation of standard management reports and any other reports as may be required by management from time to time.
  • Ensure the daily reconciliation for all payment processors of all products using source data.
  • Ensure the accuracy of all automated sources of data via frequent checks and reconciliations

Requirements

  • B.Sc. in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field
  • Must be a Chartered Accountant (ACA or ACCA)
  • 5-10 years experience in finance or a similar role
  • Experience in Oil and gas servicing Sector.
  • Good knowledge of Accounting Software (Sage, QuickBooks, Xero, etc.) and MS Excel
  • Intermediate report writing skills
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting principles and accounting/budgeting practice.

Salary Range

  • N300,000 to N400,000 / month.
