Roles & Responsibilities

• The internal audit officer provides independent and objective assurance and consulting services.
• This includes ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, managing risks, improving operational efficiency, maintaining financial integrity, enhancing educational quality, promoting transparency and accountability, supporting management, educating staff and continuously monitoring and reporting on the institution's internal control environment.

Qualifications

• Must be a professional chartered Accountant registered with relevant professional bodies such as ICAN, CFA or ACA or international equivalents.
• Must have a good University Degree or its equivalent in relevant fields (a master’s degree would be an added advantage).
• Minimum of two years’ experience as auditor in a higher institution or its equivalent.
• Must be computer literate.

Requirements:

• The candidate must possess the minimum academic and professional requirements for each role as stated below.
• Unless otherwise stated, a minimum of a second-class lower degree is required and the candidate must have completed the mandatory NYSC program.
• Candidate must also be computer literate, technology savvy, possess good interpersonal and leadership skills and be able to work effectively in teams.
