Edo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) is the implementing agency of the Edo BEST programme, an internationally acclaimed Basic Education Reform Programme which leverages technology and data to accelerate foundational literacy and improve learning outcomes for the Edo child. Edo SUBEB believes that qualified teachers are the key ingredient necessary for the delivery of quality basic education in public schools and in line with the Executive Governor's sustainability plan.

We are recruiting qualified, technology-savvy and enthusiastic candidates across all 18 LGAs to join our team in the capacity below:

Your Objective

  • The ideal candidate will be required to implement innovative solutions and methodology in teaching delivery, thereby elevating educational standards in the classroom to expand life options for learners, empower communities and shape the future for the next generation of Edo youth living in all 18 Local Government Areas of Edo State.

Key Roles

  • Mentor and coach Head and Class teachers in local government schools
  • Conduct daily visits to observe and provide feedback on teaching and learning processes
  • Utilize data for visibility into daily practices and provide feedbacks to the academic team
  • Create action plans and ensure timely data entry for trainees.

Qualification(s)
What you need to have:

  • B.Ed., B.Sc., B.A., HND (PGDE is a requisite for non-education qualification)
  • Atleast 2 years cognate experience in training and development
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • A Master's Degree and Other Qualifications are added advantage
  • Unless otherwise stated, possess a minimum of second-class lower degree
  • Possess NYSC Certificate/Exemption Letter if required
  • Be tech-savvy: comfortable using smartphones, tablets, email and able to maneuver through mobile IT systems/applications
  • Not more than 40 years for Teachers and 50 years for Head of Sections (HOS) by December 31, 2024
  • Possess excellent problem-solving, people management, verbal and written communication skills.
