Job Title: Internal Control Officer

Job Descriptions

• Implementing and maintaining effective internal controls within the organization.
• Assessing processes and identifying potential risks.
• Developing and implementing measures to mitigate identified risks.
• Ensuring compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls.
• Identifying control deficiencies and recommending improvements.
• Conducting internal audits to assess the organization's adherence to controls and policies.
• Reviewing financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborating with various departments to promote a culture of accountability and integrity.
• Providing training and guidance to employees on internal control procedures and best practices.

Job Specifications

• Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from a reputable university.
• A minimum of three (3) years of banking experience in banking operations, compliance, or Audit.
• Should reside in Lekki or environs.
• Analytical skills for auditing and investigation purposes.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Professional certifications will be an added advantage
• Proficiency in policy and regulatory interpretation and implementation.
• Extensive working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel,andPowerPoint.
