Position Overview

• We are seeking an experienced Tech Lead with a deep understanding of the African market and culture to steer our technology team.
• The role requires a unique blend of technical prowess and cultural insight to effectively guide our product development and tailor our technological solutions to the African market.
• The successful candidate will have extensive experience in leading tech teams, a robust knowledge of software development, and cloud technologies, and a proven track record of navigating the African tech landscape.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of technology strategies that align with the dynamics of the African market.
• Cultivate a deep understanding of local market conditions and consumer behaviors to tailor tech solutions accordingly.
• Manage and mentor a team of developers, ensuring the adoption of best practices and the delivery of high-quality software.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate market-specific needs into product development.
• Serve as a cultural ambassador within the company, educating and guiding teams on the nuances of operating in African markets.
• Facilitate communication between local market stakeholders and the company’s tech department.

Skills And Qualifications
Task Related Skills and Certifications:

• Bachelor's Degre or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Tech Lead or Senior Developer with team leadership responsibilities.
• Strong technical background in software development and cloud technologies.
• Competencies and Soft Skills
• Familiarity with the cultural and business landscape of Africa.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication skills with proficiency in English and, preferably, one or more African languages.
