Position Overview

  • We are seeking a dedicated Legal Officer to join our team. The Legal Officer will play a crucial role in ensuring legal compliance, managing contractual matters, and providing strategic legal advice to support the company's objectives.
  • The Legal Officer will oversee all legal aspects of Glover's operations, mitigate legal risks, and ensure the company's adherence to relevant laws and regulations.
  • This role requires a detail-oriented and proactive individual with a strong legal background and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
  • Collaborate with various departments to provide legal guidance on contractual matters.
  • Stay abreast of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards to ensure the company's compliance.
  • Develop and implement policies to mitigate legal risks and ensure adherence to applicable laws.
  • Handle legal disputes, including liaising with external legal counsel when necessary.
  • Develop strategies for the resolution of disputes through negotiation, mediation, or litigation.
  • Advise on corporate governance matters and ensure compliance with corporate laws and regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation of board meeting materials and corporate filings.
  • Manage and protect the company's intellectual property, including trademarks, and copyrights.
  • Conduct due diligence on intellectual property matters related to business transactions.
  • Conduct legal research to stay informed about changes in laws and regulations.
  • Provide timely and practical legal advice to management on various legal issues.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Law; additional qualification as a practicing attorney preferred.
  • Proven 5 - 7 years of experience as a Legal Officer or similar role in a corporate setting.
  • Sound knowledge of commercial and corporate law, contract law, and intellectual property law.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
