Job Description
- Oversee and Promote efficient Construction / Building service operations and ensure that operational activities are carried out to meet client expectation. Generate business income. Strengthen customer relationships.
Responsibilities
- Participates in the formulation of the organization’s key strategic objectives.
- Liaises with other executive heads on the implementation of the company’s strategic and operational plans.
- Determines and develops resolution to an assortment of problems encountered at the Construction site where analysis of situations or data require in association with the Construction Manager.
- Identifies and works with the Executive Management team to implement business opportunities and growth strategies.
- Drives and ensures effective execution of corporate strategic development and annual business plans.
- Pursue new businesses for the organisation and coordinates the bidding exercise where so appointed to.
- Follow up with Construction Manager to ensure timely delivery of Projects.
- Provides management with operational and business feedback to faciitate better operational and strategic planning.
- Supervises the activities of Managers at contruction sites to ensure performance meets clients quality expectation and safety standards.
- Makes requisitions for tools, equipment and fanancial resources required for the execution of contracts.
- Provides information on resource requirements for jobs to facilitate project budgeting and funding.
- Monitors project expenditure/funds utilization to ensure that there is efficiency and optimization in the use of funds made available.
- Designs and monitors the implementation framework for managing corporate performance.
- Builds company image and defends the brand by collaborating with customer, government, community, organizations, employees and enforcing ethical business practices.
- Drives implementation of ISO and other certifications to ensure that all staff comply with regulations and standards.
- Approves plans and programmes that ensure assets integrity and safety of the company’s equipment.
- Evolves a people management strategy that motivates and promotes productivity.
Requirements
- University degree in Civil Engineering or a Master’s degree.
- Member of the Nigeria Society of Engineers is an added advantage.
- 18 - 20 years’ experience at a senior management level.
- Deep knowledge of engineering projects.
- Deep sense of commerciality.
- Demonstrated initiative, autonomy, adaptability, maturity and sound judgement.
- Ability to provide a style of leadership that is collaborative; communicating clearly and contributing to individual and organizational learning.
- Strong leadership and analytical skills.
- Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills
- Well-organized person, with the ability to multi-task and deliver products on time.
