Job Title: Program and Operations Lead

Locations: Abuja (FCT) and Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Program and Operations Lead will be responsible for implementing transformative program initiatives, business reporting, program operations and supporting business development.
  • S/he will support the efforts of program activities, build relationships with key stakeholders (internal and external) and effectively collaborate with them to ensure successful implementation of project objectives and achievement of corporate goals.
  • The individual must be a business professional and will be responsible for a diverse set of programmatic and operational related tasks which must be performed with decisiveness and accuracy for effective business performance.

Job Responsibilities 

  • Drives organization-wide implementation of programmatic and organizational initiatives. Research new strategies, technologies, and alternative methods to improve efficiency across the organization.
  • Develops dashboards and presents all organization's events, status reports, pipelines, etc.; follows up with appropriate personnel on updates and action plans.
  • Supports in developing, proofreading, editing, etc., business reports, proposals, presentation slides, donor/partner documentation, and other related materials.
  • Serves as point of contact and maintains positive and effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Works closely with Finance and Team Leads in support of program budget management for planned activities in compliance with grant agreements; acts as a point of contact on budget and actual status.
  • Monitors weekly events to ensure we are showcasing our activities on our website, intranet, and social media channels.
  • Takes up other tasks as assigned by Supervisor.

  • Hands-on experience in project management, project administration, communications, policy development, and other administrative functions are required.
  • Exceptional organizational skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail, time management, within budget and high-quality standards.
  • Strong administrative and budget management skills, planning, reporting, monitoring, and evaluation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and project management ability.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, effective in building relationships with internal and external stakeholders; representing and liaising with external parties as well as in group and workshop facilitation.
  • Results-driven and solution-oriented approach to work, proven personal initiative and an ability to respond proactively and positively to ambiguity.
  • Able to work effectively within a matrix structure, requiring strong communication, organization and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to monitor own work performance and the performance of the team.
  • Should be a strong decision-maker
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office Suite - Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel, and other software skills.
