Job Overview

  • We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance/Engineering Officer specializing in Mechanical systems to join our team.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of mechanical equipment, overseeing preventive maintenance programs, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our factory production processes.
  • This position requires a strong mechanical engineering background, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
Equipment Maintenance:

  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance activities on mechanical equipment, ensuring optimal performance and longevity.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues, implementing timely and effective solutions.

Repair and Overhaul:

  • Coordinate and execute repairs and overhauls of mechanical systems, including machinery and production equipment.
  • Collaborate with external vendors for specialized repairs and procurement of spare parts.

Maintenance Planning:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance schedules for mechanical systems, minimizing downtime and disruptions to production.
  • Prioritize maintenance tasks based on criticality and production needs.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment history, and spare parts inventory.
  • Generate reports on equipment performance, downtime, and maintenance costs.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement in equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement enhancements and best practices.

Safety Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and guidelines in all maintenance activities.
  • Participate in safety meetings and contribute to the development of safety procedures.

Training and Development:

  • Provide training and guidance to maintenance staff on mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Stay updated on industry advancements and technologies related to mechanical engineering.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, machinery, and maintenance practices.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical equipment.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

Additional Requirements:

  • Knowledge of predictive maintenance techniques and reliability-centered maintenance.
  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
