Job Description

• We are seeking a vigilant and responsible individual to join our team as a Lifeguard / Swimming Pool Maintenance Officer. The primary responsibility will be to ensure the safety of swimmers and patrons at our facility, maintaining the cleanliness, functionality, and safety of our swimming pool facilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitorand enforce safety rules and regulations at the swimming pool.
• Supervise swimmers and ensure a safe environment.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations and provide first aid and CPR when necessary.
• Conduct routine pool inspections to identify and address potential hazards.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and order in the pool area.
• Conduct regular training sessions to stay updated on lifeguard techniques and procedures.
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the overall well-being of pool visitors.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance of swimming pool equipment and facilities.
• Clean and sanitize pool surfaces, tiles, and surrounding areas.
• Check and adjust chemical levels in the pool to ensure water quality and safety.
• Conduct regular inspections of pool pumps, filters, and other equipment for proper functioning.
• Identify and repair minor plumbing or electrical issues related to the pool system.
• Maintain accurate records of pool maintenance activities and chemical levels.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Current lifeguard certification from a recognized training program.
• Prior lifeguard experience over 2 years.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Strong swimming and rescue skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and respond quickly in emergency situations.
• Physical fitness and stamina to perform water rescues and other lifeguard duties.
• Proven experience in swimming pool maintenance or a related field.
• Knowledge of pool chemistry, filtration systems, and water quality standards.
• Ability to operate pool maintenance equipment and tools.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Physical ability to lift and move pool equipment and perform manual labor.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of local health and safety regulations related to pool maintenance.

Salary
N60,000 - N70,000 / Month.
