We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Foreman

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Responsibilities
Supervision and Leadership:

  • Supervise and lead the construction crew, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities.
  • Motivate and guide team members to meet project goals.

Project Coordination:

  • Collaborate with the Project Manager and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and goals.
  • Coordinate daily activities to ensure the project progresses as planned.

Work Planning:

  • Develop daily work plans and schedules for the construction crew.
  • Allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines.

Quality Control:

  • Ensure that work meets quality standards and specifications.
  • Conduct inspections to identify and address any issues promptly.

Safety Compliance:

  • Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures on the construction site.
  • Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to ensure a safe working environment.

Material and Equipment Management:

  • Manage the procurement and use of materials and equipment.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.

Problem Solving:

  • Address and resolve issues that arise during the construction process.
  • Troubleshoot challenges to keep the project on track.

Communication:

  • Communicate regularly with the Project Manager, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Report progress, issues, and any changes in project status.

Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including daily logs and reports.
  • Document any changes or deviations from the original project plans.

Training and Development:

  • Provide guidance and training to the construction crew.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

Qualifications
Experience:

  • Significant experience in construction and project management.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or foreman role is often required.

Technical Skills:

  • Solid understanding of construction processes, methods, and materials.
  • Familiarity with construction equipment and tools.

Communication Skills:

  • Effective communication skills to interact with team members, contractors, and project stakeholders.

Problem-Solving Skills:

  • Ability to identify and address issues promptly.
  • Quick decision-making in fast-paced construction environments.

Safety Awareness:

  • Strong commitment to safety and knowledge of construction safety regulations.

Leadership Skills:

  • Ability to lead and motivate a construction crew.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
