We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Production Pharmacist

Location: Lagos

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with production managers to develop and execute production plans.
  • Ensure the efficient utilization of resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
  • Oversee the implementation of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other quality standards.
  • Conduct regular checks to ensure that production processes meet quality requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Develop and review pharmaceutical formulations.
  • Oversee the compounding of ingredients to create pharmaceutical products, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established formulas.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance efficiency and product quality.
  • Collaborate with the production team to implement best practices and streamline manufacturing processes.
  • Review and approve batch records to ensure accuracy and compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Investigate and address any deviations or discrepancies in the production process.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
  • Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure timely availability of materials.
  • Stay updated on pharmaceutical regulations and guidelines (PCN, SON, NAFDAC).
  • Ensure that production activities comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with quality control, research and development, and regulatory affairs teams to achieve production goals.
  • Provide technical support to resolve production-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of production activities.
  • Ensure that all documentation meets regulatory standards and is readily available for audits.
  • Provide training to production staff on new processes, equipment, and quality standards.
  • Support the professional development of team members.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Pharmacy
  • Experience: Previous experience in pharmaceutical production or manufacturing.
  • Must be familiar with pharmaceutical regulations and guidelines, including GMP.
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes techniques.
  • Keen attention to detail in reviewing documentation and ensuring product quality.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and address production-related challenges effectively.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and convey technical information.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing production priorities and requirements.
