Job Title: Principal Engineer (Database Support Service - Oracle)

Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage Oracle database systems.
- Ensure the performance, security, and availability of databases.
- Conduct regular database performance tuning and optimization.
- Lead a team of database administrators and support staff.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve organizational goals.
- Investigate and resolve complex database-related issues.
- Implement proactive measures to prevent future incidents.
- Conduct root cause analysis for critical incidents.
- Implement and enforce security policies and procedures.
- Ensure databases comply with industry regulations and best practices.
- Stay updated on the latest security trends and technologies.
- Perform capacity planning to ensure scalability and efficiency.
- Identify and address performance bottlenecks in database systems.
- Collaborate with other teams to optimize overall system performance.
- Implement automation tools and scripts to streamline repetitive tasks.
- Stay current with industry trends and integrate innovative solutions.
- Contribute to the development of best practices and standards.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for database configurations, processes, and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Principal Engineer or similar role, with a focus on Oracle Database Support.
- In-depth knowledge of Oracle database architecture, administration, and performance tuning.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Experience with database security and compliance.
- Familiarity with automation tools and scripting languages.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
