Job Title: Business Development Officer

Job Objectives

  • As the Business Development Lead for Sales and Marketing, your main role is to propel the company's sales and market presence forward.
  • You will play a vital part in discovering new business opportunities, establishing strategic partnerships, and implementing successful sales and marketing strategies.
  • This role demands a combination of business insight, leadership capabilities, and the capacity to cultivate and sustain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.

Principal Duties / Responsibilities
Operational Responsibilities:
Business Strategy Development:

  • Collaborate with management to create and execute sales and marketing strategies aligning with the company's overarching objectives.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to pinpoint fresh business opportunities and areas for expansion.

Sales and Marketing Planning:

  • Formulate comprehensive sales and marketing plans, establishing measurable goals and targets for revenue growth, market share, and customer acquisition.
  • Identify target markets and segments, devising strategies to penetrate and broaden the company's presence in those areas.

Lead Generation and Customer Acquisition:

  • Direct efforts to generate new leads and opportunities through diverse channels, including prospecting, networking, and marketing campaigns.
  • Foster and establish relationships with potential clients, ensuring a seamless sales process from lead generation to conversion.

Strategic Partnerships and Alliances:

  • Identify potential strategic partnerships, distribution channels, and collaborations to extend the company's market reach and enhance its competitive advantage.
  • Negotiate and finalize partnership agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial terms and conditions.

Sales Team Management:

  • Supervise and guide the sales team, establishing clear targets and objectives for each team member.
  • Offer guidance, training, and support to enhance the team's overall performance and achieve sales targets.

Market Research and Analysis:

  • Conduct market research to comprehend customer needs, preferences, and pain points.
  • Analyze sales and marketing data to extract insights, make data-driven decisions, and continuously enhance strategies.

Brand Promotion and Communication:

  • Collaborate with marketing and communication teams to guarantee consistent brand messaging and effective promotional activities.
  • Oversee the creation of marketing materials, sales presentations, and other collateral to support sales efforts.

Performance Tracking and Reporting:

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of sales and marketing initiatives against established goals and KPIs.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations for management, highlighting progress, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.

Job Requirements
To be successful in the role, the candidates should meet the following requirements:
Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or a similar role.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and implement effective business development plans.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and market dynamics.

Technical Competencies:

  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.

Salary
N150,000 Monthly.
