We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Instrument (Paco) Engineering Support Services

Location: Warri, Delta

Roles and Responsibilities
The Paco/Instrumentation Support will be responsible for the following:

  • Onsite responsibility for the safe supervision of technicians during work execution.
  • Ensure performance assurance and proactive health checks of the associated components of the Robertshaw Panel integrated Control, Safety instruments and Fire & Gas Systems.
  • Ensure periodic health checks on Human Machine Interface workstations and Servers. Systems fault diagnosis and recovery.
  • Access and interpret Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID); Cause and Effects Matrix (C&E); Process Flow Scheme (PFS); Functional Logic Diagram (FLD); Instrument Loop Drawings (ILD) and Process Engineering Flow Scheme (PEFS) required for fault tracing and issues resolutions.
  • Work closely with service Contractor(s) towards safe delivery of vendor-based maintenance jobs.
  • Initiate and follow up with spares procurement towards expedited delivery for maintenance execution.
  • Ensure technical integrity of assets through Preventive and Corrective Maintenance activities, quality assurance and performance standard verification of safety-critical equipment.
  • Ensure field instrumentation availability and reliability towards meeting business targets on hydrocarbon processing and export operations.
  • Maintain System availability for the continuous operation of the facility.
  • Integrate with other disciplines to achieve Asset integrity continuously.
  • Promotes site safety and continuous hazard identification, mitigation, and close-out.
  • Other assignments for continuous improvements as exigent.

Work Cycle:

  • The work location is SPDC North Bank Node and is accessible via land and Air.
  • The job activity period is daily on a 12-hour (7 am to 7 pm) routine over 21 days.
  • There is a standard 3 weeks on and 3 weeks off schedule.
  • There may be a need for periodic visits to the Shell industrial area for training and official assignments.
  • Personnel may be required to work extended hours as the need arises.

Work Experience

  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years working experience in an oil and gas facility working as an Instrumentation Technician.
  • Experience in any SPDC facility will be an added advantage.

Skills:

  • Experience in actuator valves and ESD systems maintenance
  • Experience in PAS and fire protection systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in Safeguarding systems maintenance.
  • Field Instrumented Pneumatic / DCS systems.
  • Experience in Delta V Systems.

Soft Skills:
(Added advantage):

  • Ability to lead a team for the safe execution of tasks onsite.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Perform basic computer-related activities
  • Knowledge of worksite hazard mgt and perimetry systems
  • Ability to multitask effectively
  • Communication & team working.
