We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Legal Manager

Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Responsibilities
Legal Compliance:

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal real estate laws and regulations.
  • Keep abreast of changes in legislation and advise the company on potential impacts.

Contract Drafting and Review:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of real estate-related contracts, including lease agreements, purchase agreements, and construction contracts.
  • Ensure contracts align with legal standards and protect the company's interests.

Title Examination:

  • Oversee title examination processes to identify and address any legal issues related to property titles.
  • Provide recommendations for resolving title-related concerns.

Litigation Management:

  • Collaborate with external legal counsel in managing any litigation matters involving the company.
  • Develop strategies to minimize legal risks and resolve disputes effectively.

Due Diligence:

  • Conduct legal due diligence for real estate transactions, including property acquisitions and dispositions.
  • Identify and mitigate legal risks associated with potential transactions.

Licensing and Permits:

  • Manage the process of obtaining necessary licenses and permits for real estate projects.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for each project.

Legal Advisory:

  • Provide legal advice and guidance to internal teams on matters related to real estate development, construction, and property management.
  • Assist in developing policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance.

Document Management:

  • Establish and maintain an organized system for managing legal documents, contracts, and correspondence.
  • Ensure the confidentiality and security of sensitive legal information.

Salary
N150,000 - N230,000 / month.
