We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Chatered Accountant

Location: Victoria island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description
Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial reports to management and external stakeholders.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis.

Audit and Compliance:

  • Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with external auditors and regulatory authorities during annual audits.
  • Implement and maintain effective internal controls.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Develop and oversee the budgeting process, working closely with various departments.
  • Provide financial forecasts based on industry trends, market analysis, and business goals.
  • Monitor budget variances and recommend corrective actions.

Tax Management:

  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and prepare tax returns.
  • Optimize the organization's tax position through effective tax planning.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations.

Financial Analysis:

  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support decision-making.
  • Evaluate the financial performance of various business units and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.

Risk Management:

  • Assess financial risks and propose strategies for risk mitigation.
  • Develop and implement risk management policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and report on the organization's risk profile.

Cash Flow Management:

  • Manage cash flow to ensure the organization's liquidity.
  • Optimize working capital and recommend strategies for cash flow improvement.

Team Leadership:

  • Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
  • Provide training and guidance on accounting principles and procedures.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
  • Implement best practices in financial management and reporting.

Qualifications

  • ICAN Certification
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, with a proven track record in financial management.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and taxation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
