Purple Pulp - Our Client, an Architectural Consultancy, Design and Build firm located in Lekki-Ajah area of Lagos, is seeking a highly dynamic and competent candidates to join the growing team, to fill the position of:
Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Lagos
Job Responsibilities
- Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the client;
- Undertaking cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work;
- Researching costing and knowledge of material in the database and other sources;
- Monitoring the quantity and usage of materials on project site;
- Assisting in establishing a client's requirements and undertaking feasibility studies;
- Performing risk analysis, value management and cost control;
- Advising on procurement strategy;
- Identifying, analyzing and developing responses to commercial risks;
- Preparing and analyzing costings for tenders;
- Allocating work to subcontractors;
- Providing advice on contractual claims;
- Analyzing outcomes and writing detailed progress reports;
- Valuing completed work and arranging payments;
- Providing post-occupancy advice, facilities management services and life cycle costing advice;
- Maintaining awareness of the different building contracts in current use;
- Understanding the implications of health and safety regulations.
Requirements/Qualifications
- A good HND or Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in an Architectural/Construction/Real Estate firm.
- Commercially astute, numerate, risk averse & able to accurately forecast cost & sales.
- Professional certification and/or a post-graduate degree in related discipline will be and added advantage.
- Excellent verbal and written communications, networking, and presentation skills.
- Proficient in MS Office (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Project) and AutoCAD (not mandatory but highly recommended).
