About the Job

  • We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team.
  • The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing costs, ensuring efficiency, and optimizing value for our construction projects.
  • As a Quantity Surveyor, you will collaborate with various stakeholders to assess project requirements, prepare estimates, and monitor financial progress throughout the construction lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Cost Estimation: Conduct thorough cost estimates for construction projects, considering materials, labor, and overhead expenses.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage project budgets, monitoring expenditures and ensuring adherence to financial constraints.
  • Tendering Process: Lead and participate in the tendering process, evaluating bids and negotiating contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Risk Analysis: Identify potential risks and uncertainties related to project costs, providing insights to mitigate financial challenges.
  • Quantity Takeoff: Accurately measure and quantify materials required for projects through detailed quantity takeoffs.
  • Variation Orders: Evaluate and process variation orders, ensuring timely and accurate documentation of changes in project scope.
  • Value Engineering: Collaborate with the project team to explore cost-effective alternatives and value engineering opportunities.
  • Progress Reporting: Prepare regular reports on project financials, highlighting variances and providing insights into cost performance.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and contractual obligations.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain effective relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers to foster successful project outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and processes.
  • Proficient in cost estimation software and MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
